Beauty in rain

What better time for me to be posting this series. These pictures reflect my current mood as i think what the future may bring for me tomorrow. I screwed up at work (though unintended) and i think it is only right for me to be facing the music. If only the person singing knows what he's doing; then it wouldnt be so bad now would it? But then again, in this "perfect" world that we live in, theres only so much that could go right. Bleurgh...

These pictures are completely uneditted and i personally like how it turned out. I hope you like it too.

If only it is always this beautiful everytime i rain.

The one with nature II

The one with nature I

A new toy

Trying out my new Sigma 18-200mm DC OS. All pictures were taken handheld and no PP done. So far am quite satisfied with the results. For the price i paid, the images are clear enough (especially for a lens with this kind of focal range) but a bit soft on the edges when wide open. The Optical Stabilizer works fine; just a bit noisy. Oh yah, the AF could be faster though but to get a faster USM lens would be to almost doubling the price. So no, not for now at least.

At 200mm.

At 63mm.

At 18mm.

At 200mm. Fast and Furious 4?

Ode to life

May you remain far, far away from the evil gallows of sorrow.
Look forward for a better tomorrow.

May you have faith, faith in everything that is real.
May you feel, feel for what is right.
May your emotions be prompt and justified.

May your judgements be precise and unmarred.
May your love be passionate and unfeigned.
May you be kind to those who are kind and also to those who are not.
May you have compassion;

forgive.

May you have enough strength, because life itself is exhausting.
And when you die, may you be surrounded by the thousands who weep,
weep for the loss and for all that you are.

Labrador Park finally

This was kinda my first attempt using a polarizing filter. Im still learning how to fully utilize it. I've noticed that the pictures came out a bit underexposed and the AF had difficulty trying to find a focal point. But it was still interesting nevertheless. The details from the brightly lit sky have been captured nicely enough without it having to be ruined by overexposure. The third picture's my favourite. No Photoshop for this shoot. Straight from the DSLR. Anybody has a ND filter to lend/give? ;p

I was just browsing the "A Photo A Day Project" at Clubsnap. I wish i have that much time to be taking and submitting at least 1 pic a day...

Note to self: Take more pics when possible. Shutter count only 6K so far...
